A Teal and Orange Tropical Wedding

Sunshine, sand and a celebration of love and commitment – for many couples this sounds like a dream come true! If you’re dreaming of a beachside wedding, consider this teal and orange tropical wedding with details to die for!

A Gorgeous Destination

The first step in planning a tropical wedding is choosing your location. Deciding on a location for your wedding can be one of the most difficult decisions you’ll make in planning a destination wedding. Consider which part of the world you want to get married in, whether you choose a destination on the east or west coast or somewhere in the middle of the ocean, do your research and find a venue that will help you with all of the details.

Tropical Decor

Coordinating the details for your tropical wedding is the fun part, there are so many modern and fun ways to decorate your space! Choose a few motifs or patterns and run with them – maybe include palm leaves and pineapples in your stationery and then carry those themes into your wedding day as well! Palm leaves on your invitations and pineapple wax seals on your envelopes will set the tone for your whole day.

Palm leaves make for lovely decor throughout both your ceremony and reception. Use them to line the aisle at your ceremony for a dramatic entrance, and include palm designs on your menus and other wedding signage to help carry the theme throughout the space. Pineapples are always a fun, tropical fruit to include as well! Pair gold pineapple vases with other fun floral displays to add something special to your tables.

Beach Friendly Attire

Attire for the wedding party can look a little different for a tropical wedding. Boho, beach inspired dresses for the bridesmaids and a looser look for the groom and his guys is definitely more comfortable than a full suit and tie.

And if you’re a bride getting married in a tropical location, keep that in mind when choosing your dress! You’ll be more comfortable in something light and a little more airy for a beach wedding than a dress weighed down with lots of layers.

Take advantage of that salt-filled air and opt for laid back beach waves as opposed to a fancy up-do. You’ll look more relaxed and at home with a sun-kissed face, loose waves and a colorful floral crown – which is the perfect look for a tropical wedding.

Colorful Cuisine for a Tropical Wedding

Don’t forget about the menu! Embrace the local cuisine and host a menu of seafood and fresh fruits. Have your venue location suggest menu items that your guests will enjoy, and include a few fun items as well!

Play with the presentation. Fresh fruit displayed in coconuts, a crab and mango stack appetizer – tell you caterer to get creative with color and how each menu item is displayed. With so many fun ingredients and colors to play with, your guests will be blown away with the menu you choose for them to enjoy.

Once your details are planned and you make it to your destination, all that’s left to do is enjoy your tropical wedding, soak up the sun and enjoy the company of your loved ones who traveled to help you celebrate the happiest day of your life! Enjoy!
