Jennifer Nichols and My Wedding Favors were featured in the February 1, 2005 edition of the Wall Street Journal, as part of the newspaper’s ongoing Case Studies profiles in innovative business strategies. The paper praised Nichols’ willingness to listen to customers’ points of view and tastes, and for using that feedback to build the online site into a leading retailer of unique wedding favors. Citing the company’s quick decision making and ability to rapidly and confidently embrace the latest in marketing strategies, the paper offered My Wedding Favors as a model of successful online drop shipping and retailing. The company, the Journal said, was an ideal example of “taking an experimental business and recasting it into something bolder.”

Entrepreneur Magazine

Entrepreneur magazine took notice of My Wedding Favor’s rapid growth in its February 2005 issue. Citing the company’s unusual structure – its physical facilities were located in Georgia, Alabama, and partly in India – the magazine praised company CEO Jennifer Nichols’ skill in coordinating business communication among three distant locations. The secret, Nichols says, lay in creating a two-way channel of dialogue between entrepreneur and employee expectations.
