While Las Vegas might be home to luxe hotels, Donny and Marie, and enough casinos to warrant a zip code, it’s also one of the most popular destinations for couples to say “I Do.” The options to get hitched here are as colorful and abundant as the glittery Elvises swiveling their hips on The Strip. Want to exchange rings on a rollercoaster? No problem. Prefer to swap vows aboard a pirate ship? Done. Call it glitzy or gaudy, but whatever you call it, you can’t deny that this mecca of money keeps the brides and grooms flocking. And celebrities are certainly no exception.

Just last Thursday, Sinead O’ Connor—singer, rebel, and thrice-married maven—said “I Do” via drive-thru; just one of many ceremonial backdrops available at Vegas’ iconic Little White Wedding Chapel. O’ Connor and boyfriend Barry Herridge sat side-by-side in a shiny, pink Cadillac and even smiled for cameramen eager to capture the two in newly wedded bliss. The pair met five months ago when O’Connor announced her search for love—or, to be more precise, “a sweet sex-starved man”—on her Twitter page (140 characters or less: how’s THAT for speed dating?!) Herridge’s email reply got O’Connor’s attention, and the rest is matrimonial history.

The happy bride, whose 1990 hit single “Nothing Compares 2 U” topped 12 national charts and had breakup victims everywhere declaring it their personal anthem, boasted her signature bald ‘do, an array of tattoos, and a demure pink gown for an overall look that boldly bucked tradition. And come on…would you really expect anything less from a wedding in Sin City? Had the couple invited any guests, we certainly could have offered some wedding favor suggestions…
