Good skin doesn’t happen overnight. Developing a routine and sticking with it can lead to longtime changes. Follow the tips below for a better complexion.
1. Drink water. Yes, it’s cliche, but your skin needs water to stay plump, hydrated and healthy. New research shows that you should drink half your body weight in ounces to stay adequately hydrated. For example, if you weight 140 pounds, you should aim for 70 ounces of water daily.
2. Always wear sunscreen. Though it’s winter, the sun is still out and you’re still exposed to the sun’s harmful rays. After washing your face in the morning, apply a facial sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher. Even better, buy one of the sheer tinted moisturizers or BB creams that have SPF in them for extra coverage and no-brainer sun protection.
3. Establish a nighttime routine. Many night products are more highly concentrated and intense than their daytime counterparts. After washing your face at night, apply an anti-aging serum to your face and neck. Follow up with a moisturizer for added benefits.
